FUTURE RECOLLECTIOn
There's something special about the times you remember
vividly as part of the tapestry of your life.
That moment as a child you made your first friend,
the first time you held your newborn baby, the day you met your spouse,
the moment you heard about a relative dying, or the feeling of being ill,
the feeling of sand in your toes and the summer sun on your skin.
They are vivid not because they were anything different than
any other moment, minute, time of your life.
They are vivid because there was emotion.
You knew in whatever moments you have had that this was an important moment.
They ask "Where were you when..." about current events.
You remember.
What moments to come would you like to experience in your life?
What dreams do you hold dear? Do you feel them? Touch them? Taste them?
Memory goes forward and backwards.
Feel them. Know them with the intensity of that vivid emotional memory
as if it was past, not future.
Be there, and it will be.
