Natural Reactions

When the winds begin to blow and the cold shows up to shiver,
the body naturally becomes hungry.
The survival mechanism to store food for the winter in the layers of
fat in the body is a good one in days when food was scarce.
We still have and keep this survival instinct,
even though we now have plenty of food, warmth, and
shelter from the snows.
To adjust, we must consciously remind our bodies that it is okay,
that we are well fed, and do new things like walk out in the snow
to re-energize and invigorate our bodies.

This metaphor is true in all areas of our  life.
What is it that you still find yourself wanting to do
when storms or crisis show up in your life
that is outdated or now longer needed?
Do you find yourself freaking out when things change,
or doing too much,  overbooking yourself?
What is it that today you could cut out of your life, say No to, or
stop doing, to take care of yourself in a healthy, new, way?

*And have compassion for yourself when you naturally react to things,
whether it's weather, crisis, or change!
